Dear Alumni/Friends of Portland High School

Greetings

There are many words that we can use to express gratitude in various languages. Words such as Gracias, Tambien Gracias, Merci beaucoup are but just a few of the expressions; but the language we know best is expressed in the words "thank you".

Past faculty and staff, past students, friends of the school, parents and well-wishers I am sure you will agree with me that the 50th Anniversary celebrations so far, has been a tremendous success, particularly so the Home-Coming Week-End. This indeed was a time of reflection, rejuvenation and regrouping. The hugs, the kisses, the warm embraces, the ecstatic stare of yesteryears all came together in that unforgettable week-end. Good friends, old times and things were the order of the week-end. Indeed it was a trip down memory lane.

The 50th year is both a time to look back and a time to look forward. In looking back we can see the footprints of the pioneers indelibly etched in the sands of time; looking forward we can chart the course for a prosperous future. Portland High School is poised for growth and development, even as we seek to complete the new "South Block" we ask for your continued support in the spirit of true generosity.

Please accept thanks as a gift of our respect and gratitude for all you have done for the Portland High School family. Particularly your presence and support for our home-coming week-end and your contributions to the endowment fund.

Once again accept our thanks on behalf of the school's administration, staff and students.
